Death First!

I am always inclined 2say "Life and Death" but d actual verse says "DEATH & LIFE"... we have 2 die 2self B4 we LIVE in Christ... Prov 18:21

I am inclined to say Life and Death are in the power of the tongue but the verse says death and life are in the power of the tongue-when you really think about it we have to die to our desires before we can truly LIVE in Christ. We talk often about speaking life to ourselves but we omit or conveniently forget that self has to die daily. The same tongue that is used to speak LIFE should be the same tongue that says to YOU its time to DIE to my will and be alive to the will and purpose of God for my LIFE.

More of HIM and less of me is my prayer.

  1. VERY powerful post. I honestly never noticed that we misquote this Scripture all the time. We also, quite obviously, miss the point.
Death & life are both processes to be considered according to the Word. Thanks for the reminder.
